This position involves responsibility for the management of key client relationships and budgets, journalist liaison, writing PR material, research, media tracking, brainstorms and client reporting. As a senior team member, you will manage and develop your team and will have a lead role in new business activities including pitch presentations. .

Responsibilities:

  • Media relations for international, national and vertical media

Our client, a global consumer accessories company focused on the entertainment industry, is looking for an experienced Director of Marketing to join their team.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute marketing and PR strategy (US, Canada, LATAM).
  • Strategize and implement comprehensive marketing plans and programs, both short and long range, to support sales and revenue objectives of the organization.
  • Evaluate and develop the retail channel strategy and regional targets with the VP of Sales.
  • Develop and execute retail launch plans for new products in line with company’s go-to-market strategy.
  • Own and maintain budget for entire department from headcount to ad spend.
  • Manage advertising agencies and public relation firms to achieve regional marketing, community, and PR goals.
  • Negotiate with vendors and contractors for pricing and costs of goods for design, PR, marketing, and creative services.
  • Direct our involvement in various co-marketing activities including coordinating business and marketing development with regional partners.
  • Research, analyze, and monitor financial, technological, and demographic factors to capitalize on market opportunities and minimize effects of competitive activity.
  • Gather, identify, and prioritize functional and product requirements into internal feedback loop to support product feature requests and ideas.


Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of exp in a Director of Marketing role (gaming or consumer electronics space)
  • Extensive experience managing a marketing budget and a team.
  • Background working with brick-and-mortar and/or digital retailers.
  • Familiarity collaborating with US, Canada, and LATAM.
  • Experience with product launches and events.
